Summary/Objective
Responsible for providing spontaneous service excellence to members, employees, and business associates; supporting our FIRST values.

The primary function is to maintain the daily operation of the Facility and Security functions within the credit union including interfacing with various vendors relating to these functions.  This person shall also perform project management duties related to job function oversight.  Position is responsible for maintaining a thorough understanding of policies/procedures and functions within their areas of responsibility. 

Essential Functions

  1. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of branch locations, effectively and consistently maintain branch locations according to branch standards.
  2. Schedule and perform routine periodic branch inspections (buildings and grounds), preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and cleaning, with written report provided to Management.
  3. Perform miscellaneous handyman level tasks such as, painting, machine servicing, electrical, furniture set-up and rearrangement, cleaning, etc.
  4. Manage vendors (such as janitorial, landscaping, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, glass, welding, etc.) and sub-contractors, which includes follow-up to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed properly and efficiently.
  5. Establish and maintain a selection of preferred vendors in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, glass, landscaping, and fire products, etc.
  6. Troubleshoot equipment and building systems identifying issues and reporting to Management.
  7. Establish and maintain effective communication, coordination and working relationships with Credit Union employees, leadership, vendors, and service providers.
  8. Maintain inventory list of facilities equipment, tools and supplies. 
  9. Develop a thorough understanding of applications within the business environment.
  10. Identify budgetary needs, collect bids/costs, and assist in compiling the Capital Projects Budget, then complete approved projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  11. Provide communication to Management on projects, results of efforts, problems identified, potential issues and recommendations.
  12. Provide facilities support to tenants at leased executive offices.
  13. Assist with administering the credit union’s physical security (access control, camera control and retrieval, and maintain key, badge and alarm code inventory).
  14. Respond at any time as directed by the Disaster Recovery Plan to determine the severity of the situation and provide Incident Management Team with an accurate analysis of the situation.
  15. Maintain records, schedules, and conduct audits to ensure compliance with State and Federal Regulations, including but not limited to back flow and fire systems.
  16. Support remodels and builds and attend key construction meetings (on-site visits, plan review, construction meetings, etc.)
  17. Track and complete all Help Desk Tickets in a timely and efficient manner.
  18. Completes other duties as assigned by Management.
  19. Participate in staff meetings and attends other meetings, and seminars.
  20. Completes mandatory credit union training.
  21. Complies with and assist First Credit Union in enforcing the provisions set forth in its Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Laundering and Member/Customer Identification Policy.
  22. Understands and follows Credit Union policies and procedures.
  23. Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information in a professional manner.

  13. Must have an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and workable knowledge of both Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  14. Strong mechanical aptitude required.
  15. Should have workable knowledge of industry current facility and security applications (e.g. HVAC/energy management system, security, access control, camera systems, fire alarm/suppression systems, electrical and lighting systems, etc.). 

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly require to sit, stand, walk, bend and regularly lift objects of in excess of 50lbs.; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.  Reach with hands and arms above shoulder height and below the waist; and talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, the ability to adjust focus; and the ability to utilize computers and focus on computer monitors for extended periods of time. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Ability to work flexible schedule Monday through Friday, and emergency facility response as required.

Travel
Valid Driver’s License, periodic travel to other FCU locations may be required.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma and some college; Associate’s degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum two years of experience in Facility maintenance, Security and Access Control systems.  A combination of work experience, trade background or education may be combined to meet years of experience.
  3. Project management experience, ability to provide updates and read Gantt charts. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Previous experience with a financial institution desirable.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  1. Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus.
